SOLID
Students for Outreach, Leadership, Intercession, and Discipleship. This is this year's EMC/EMMC Project Macedonia (that's what we went to Paraguay through) and we are one of two couples planning and leading it. It has been decided that as an internship for our future with EMC we are to plan, organize, and lead this 2 week leadership training for high school students, along with Dallas and Tara Wiebe (my cousin, and good friends of ours). It is already keeping us busy but is fun because it is different than our normal day lives. Neither LeRoy nor I have ever done something like this so it is new and exciting. It will keep us extremely busy, especially as we have to take care of other stuff, at the same time, as we get ready to move. We are in charge of seminars, ministry opportunities, group building activities, etc. We can pretty much go where we want to go with it, incorporate ideas we feel suit the topics. Gerald Reimer from the EMC office is our go to guy if we have questions, or need guidance. This will be taking place the first two weeks of July, so we are expecting to be put on salary with the conference June 1 so we can give some full time prep to these 2 weeks. It will be taking place in South Eastern Manitoba so we won't need to travel far with the kids, and we can maybe even get their wonderful grandparents (hint hint) to take them for a couple days to help us out.
So this is the new info to share with you, in regards to our journey to Missions. As we know more we will continue to share it with you, so you can continue to pray for us more effectively.

Being Mr. Mom
So I spent this week at home being a Dad and helping out around the home. I learned a few things from this experience.
- It wasn't really a holiday. It was a lot of work, and I didn't get as much 'work' done as I expected.
- I got to bond with my daughters. They are precious, beautiful, and very lovable.
- Faith gets 5 stars for doing all she does on a daily basis to help keep our family and our home in order!
- I have an awesome responsibility to teach my children. The way I treat Faith, how I interact with Brooklyn, and how I get mad at her for making a mess... There were, and are so many teachable moments in a day. Wow, I have gotten to know Brooklyn so much better since Emma has been born!
Holidays, Decisions, and Life
There are some phases of life where it seems that there are overwhelming amounts of events and decisions going on. At times like these it is hard to even sort these things through in one's mind. This is how our life seems to be these days. It isn't that life feels out of control, but you know the feeling when you exhaust all your energy dealing with each day's activities and every week's "events", that you seem to have no time for reflection or looking ahead to planning and setting some goals for things that aren't quite here yet: the things that need to be dealt with but aren't necessarily of immediate priority. Here are some of the things that our family is looking ahead to in the next few months:
1. Selling our house
2. Leading and planning SOLID (more on that in a future post)
3. Raising our 2 girls (a day, or should I say life's work, all by itself)
4. Vehicle and travel situation
Faith and I know that many of you who read our bloq are praying for us as we anticipate the future, and so we ask that you would keep us in your prayers as we continue on in God's plans.
"However, the Lord stood by me and gave me strength..."
2 Timothy 4:17

Answer to Prayer
If we look hard enough we can see answers to prayer everyday, whether big or small. This past week we have seen an answer to prayer in our lives, and it has been huge for me (Faith). When Brooklyn was born she took a few weeks to gain back to her birth weight because of eating struggles. I was preparing myself for this same struggle this time around, thinking we'd have to do the hour long process of feeding a baby all over again. Emma is totally different. In one week she already gained back what she lost, 11 oz. Feeding Emma is a breeze compared to what it was like with Brooklyn, and for that I am so grateful. I don't need to have it hanging over my head if something is wrong, or wonder why she isn't gaining. I can't imagine how much harder it would be with 2 kids to have this struggle yet too. I would definitely need even more help than I am already getting.

A Few Quiet Moments
LeRoy just got home from work and is outside playing with Brooklyn on the little hill he made for her. Emma is fast asleep, but soon will be waking up to eat. So I have a few quiet moments for myself. I am amazed how fast I have forgotten what life was like a week ago, before Emma was born. There has been times in the last 5 days that I felt very overwhelmed, not knowing how I would manage a 20 month old, and a newborn. For now I take it an hour at a time. I am very thankful I have not had to be alone with both girls too much yet, as it is very exhausting even when there's someone else to help.
We were so sure Emma was going to be a boy, as were many others. We ha d to do a double take when we saw she was a girl, and a few people chuckled when we said it was a girl. But we sure do feel blessed to be parents of two precious daughters. The way Emma can even make me smile when we're up in the middle of the night, and all I would really like to do is sleep, or even how Brooklyn drives me nuts with how overly excited she has been the last couple days reminds me of how lucky I am to have 2 healthy beautiful girls.

As we have a little time here and there we are slowly adding more pictures to our album, so feel free to continually go back to see if there is anything new.
