Missions Update

I realized that we were going to give an update beginning of December once we knew more about what was happening with our future. We only found out more info in the last week, so that's why this update has been a bit delayed. We have now handed in our applications for language school to Rio Grande Bible Institute in Edinburg, TX. Along with this went housing applications for an apartment on campus, so we don't have to look elsewhere. We have also found out that nothing is 100% settled with an internship, or plans leading up to leaving. It may happen that we will not participate in an internship now yet before school, but rather have our first year in Mexico be our internship, while being taught by another missionary. We kind of like this idea, as we wouldn't quite feel so alone once we get there, and we can better learn from more experienced in that field. So as far as internship stuff goes, things are still unsure. LeRoy will most likely be taking a course on the side of his job, focusing on missions, as he didn't take many of these in college. It shouldn't be like taking a full college course, so it should be manageable and he is looking forward to this as well. It does look like July 1 will be our first official day being supported by EMC, as well as July being our month to take time for ourselves and family before we leave. As far as I can remember right now that's about all the new stuff we know.

Please continue to pray for us as we begin to prepare to know when exactly we should start trying to sell our house, as we prepare mentally for a new lifestyle change, as LeRoy will be studying, and for our hearts and minds to be molded into what God wants of us. And of course for us three as we await our new baby to arrive.
